The IOER Research Data Centre is supported by an Advisory Board. The Advisory Board works towards the user-orientated further development of the data and services offered by the IOER Research Data Centre. The Board advises on issues such as functionality, visualisation, data provision and data access, as well as on issues relating to the strategic development of the IOER RDC. The members of the Advisory Board are users of the IOER RDC's data services from the fields of business, research and media. The current Advisory Board met for its inaugural meeting in Dresden on 21 November 2024.
Managing Director PSY:PLAN GbR Institute for Architectural and Environmental Psychology
Nicola Moczek founded PSY:PLAN together with Riklef Rambow in 1997 after graduating in psychology and has been Managing Director ever since. In 2019, she completed her doctorate at the Department of Psychology at the Philipps University of Marburg with the thesis ‘Voluntary Engagement for Citizen Science Projects in Nature Conservation’. Current projects include user and visitor research as well as impact evaluations of communication, education, participation and co-research.
Division Head at the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin)
Jan Goebel is a social scientist and has been division head of the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at DIW Berlin for many years and also leads the SOEP Research Data Center(FDZ) and has extensive experience in research data management. His research focuses on income dynamics, social inequality, poverty, and life satisfaction. He plays a key role in advancing the SOEP, one of the largest longitudinal studies in Germany.
Managing Director of Reimagine Spaces
Carolin Johannsen is a systems engineer with a master's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Bremen (2011). She conducted research in the Cognitive Neuroinformatics group on artificial intelligence for the common good. As a software architect at the staff unit for innovation at the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN), she worked on projects related to sustainable urban development. Currently, she leads the "Reimagine Spaces" start-up, supported by the ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) Northern Germany.
Data Journalist
Achim Tack, born in 1981 in East Westphalia, studied urban planning in Nürtingen. After working as a research associate and consultant in Dortmund and Hamburg, specializing in the generation and analysis of (geo)data related to urbanity, mobility, and public services, he has been an editor in the data journalism team at SPIEGEL since August 2015. Additionally, he serves as a consultant for the software and design company Ubilabs.
